I watch here motionless and still
as the people around me
slowly die from the bullets
of corrupted leadership
Lives taken for granted
all for the prize of the sacred seat
I never remembered the time
wherein I felt safe
because I am afraid of the people
that supposedly keeps us safe
Safety has escaped us all
What are we to do without the value of life?
What are we to do without the identity
of safety?
Walking past these empty roads
Streetlights glowing bright as the stars
Creating silhouettes with my figure
Casting a shadow from where I came from
I'm coming home
Decapitated expectations
A fractured kind of silence
Leaving behind a bloody mess
Sometimes all it takes is to walk away
It takes a million miles
of getting used to
A progressive always changing path
To follow and to seek out
This is the way I chose
after everything of inbetweens
I can finally be the person that
I've always wanted to be
Bright eyes wide
the problems are fading
the wounds are healing
Unnumbered hours
which went on for days
for months
A progressive always changing path
To follow and to believe
Beaten to the ground
Fight Back!
by fuckers all around
Fight Back!
All you gotta do is
Fight Back!
So get up and fight
You cannot possibly
defeat us cos we're free
I always searched for honesty
in the wrong places
from the wrong people
I'd like to think
I can find a bit of truth
in what things would like to portray
I found honesty in my favorite song
I never felt better
Everything's okay
It always has been
I left the dreamt
to leave behind
Change found its way in my pocket
I'm sure it'll stay with me
This time I searched for honesty
in the right place
about
People get disillusioned about hitting rock bottom in life but when life brings you down, he leaves you a little something to step on. That step is the first step to reaching the sky.
From that point on, everyday, life would leave more steps. Sometimes those steps would break and you'd go back down. Then you'd find a way to fix it and soldier on.
Next thing you know you're already miles away.
Sometimes, hitting rock bottom is the best thing that may happen to anyone because it enables you to reach the sky.
